Pteranodon Swamp is the name given to the water-logged jungle to the south of the Cloud-Ankled Mountains.
The area is inhabited by large and dangerous beasts: dinosaurs, giant spiders and man-eating plants. In the deepest parts of the jungle lie the ruined temples of a lost civilization. Whatever treasure these might still contain is guarded by sophisticated traps and the undead sentries tasked with defending these resting places for all eternity.
Within Pteranodon Swamp and close to Bolin's Breach is the town of Sourwater. This settlement makes a good living as a basecamp for fortune hunters from the Settled Lands looking to find the lost treasure houses of the swamp.
To the south of Pteranodon Swamp lie the Ogre Khaganates.
